A report is local. A productive report near Port Clinton may not help a boat leaving Erie, Pennsylvania, and an eastern-basin report may involve a different license jurisdiction.

What fishing license do I need for a Lake Erie charter?
Buy for the jurisdiction where the boat will fish. Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York and Michigan have separate licenses. Ontario uses a separate Canadian licence system.
Do charter passengers need their own fishing licenses?
Normally yes when the passenger meets the licensing age. The captain’s commercial credential does not automatically replace passenger licenses.
